Great Virtual Instrument

I realy enjoy this app. Having played a real sanshin only once, I cant truely attest to its authenticity, however the sound is great overall and doesnt sound digitized. The accompanying songs are great for beginners like myself. The app displays the notes of the song and you simply follow the lit up kanji on the strings with one hand while "plucking" the bottom of the strings with your other. Right and left hand friendly. I had planned on buying a sanshin on an upcoming visit to Japan and I feel this will give me a head start. On the other hand, I occasionally find it difficult to play a note or access the menu (via a gear-shaped button). Ill repeatedly stab the spot on the screen to no avail and other times the action works without incident. I strongly suggest this to anyone wishing to learn the traditional instrument or even to the musically inclined who are looking for a new toy to fiddle with on the go.
